Merging several PPT files into one

I'd like to create a new PPT presentation that includes slides from several
other PPT files. I do need to retain the formatting of the source slides into
the new destination file. I'm using PPT version 2003. Suggestions?
 
Thanks for including your version of PPT. It's important in this case.

To retain formatting (new feature as of PPT 2002), just drag or copy/paste
your slides from the source to the destination file. When you paste, a
"smart paste" icon will appear. Click on it and choose "keep source
formatting." Or use Insert/Slides/From File and choose "keep source
formatting."
