Merging settings, favorites, menus, etc from Adminstrator to other

I had a good setup under a single user on XP Pro. Then decided to change to 2
users. The problem is that even though User 1 has administrator priveledges,
all the settings from before are now under administrator and not the new
user. So all the favorites, menus, etc from before are still there but I
can't get to them when I use a program like outlook.

How do I fix this?

I am unclear as to what you are/have done.

If you were trying to create a default look/feel/setup for all your new
users - a "Default User Profile" would be the way to go.

If the user in question was an administrator before but is not now -
although I could see this having some minor annoyances - I do not see
something like that causing a lack of ability to access their own
favorites/etc.

If you are just saying that you would like the users to have some things
shared (like the start menu and desktop icons) - that is as simple as moving
everything you want shared into the appropriate folders in the "All Users"
profile under C:\Documents and Settings\.

As the other users are already created (if I am reading correctly) then in
order to get them to start with the same favorites and the likes - you
merely have to copy the favorites (etc) (using an administrative level
account) from the "setup correctly" account to the other account and make
sure the file/folder permissions make the account owner in question the
owner of said files/folders.

I think you got what I meant. If I move the documents and settings folder
from the old setup to the All Users folder of the new set up when I go into
outlook for example all the favorites will from before will be there?

Outlook, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer - applications with data - are
not applicaple to the "All Users" profile - as those things are "per user".
You would need to copy things like that information (Outlook data - PSTs or
Internet Explorer favorites (bookmarks) and the likes) to each of the
profiles you wish to be able to access it and that would be the last time
you would see them 'in synch'. As they then come under the control of said
individual user.

Thank you for that help! After you message I just opened 2 explorer windows
and copied the right files.
I have a new problem in my next post.
