Merging corrections in Word

There used to be a selection on the menu to merge the changes and clean up a
document. The only thing I can find now is to turn off View > Markup, but I
would like to make the changes and get rid of the notes. Is there still a way
to do that?
 
Accept All Changes in Document and Delete All Comments in Document. These
two commands appear, respectively, on the menus accessed via the arrows next
to the Accept Change and Reject Change buttons.
