memory??

Okay, i have just totally deleted every single thing on my computer and
installed a clean installation of windows xp. but when i clicked on my
internet explorer "icon", i took about 30 seconds to come on, that's the
reason i restarted it in the first place, and already half my memory is
filled up and i only installed macafee. but when you click on it on my
friends computer it takes about 2 seconds to come up. Why is this
happening??? ahhh!

How do you expect anybody to help you with no clues given..

You need to tell us more about the spec of your machine and the one you are
comparing against..
