I have a problem with IE6 Sp1 (win2k). Whenever I load IE and surf the net
for a while, my memory usage of my IE browser would rise gradually, from 20+M
to as high as 300+M, even though I may not done anything special. As a
result, my memory would be used up and knock some of my programme offline.
Can you please enlighten me as to why does it happen? My colleague has
similar config as me but do not have this problem. thx

Are you using the MSN Search Toolbar. If so download and install the latest
version.

The problem is probably caused by another program that has hooked into IE
(third-party toolbar or BHO). You can test this by disabling third-party
browser helpers (Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>Disable third-party
browser helpers) and then restarting IE to see if the problem persists. I
had a similar problem with the MSNSearch toolbar beta release, but the
latest version has been working fine.
