I have windows xp home version and just tryed to install AOL 9 and when I try
using it , it freezes. I ran spyware and virus scans and cleaned up but when
that program or any large program runs my systems slows or freezes and I went
into and noticed cpu usage at 100%. The larger programs seem to go from 60 to
99% real fast then freezeup things. What to do??

My first reaction is always to blame AOL for any and all problems that
happen on any computer with AOL software installed. In at least 99
and 44/100% of these instances the problems disappear when the AOL
software is removed.

That said there are some notoriously bad spyware removal programs out
there, including many which actually install spyware instead of
removing it. There are some good ones, including some good free
