Memory Dump

R

Rich

Running an e-machine desktop with 128MB of RAM running
Win2000 Professional. While using computer just in the
middle of working with a couple of programs I get the
message and then the computer freezes up.
Kernel-data-Inpage-Error
Address BFFEB7E4 BFFE3000
Date stamp 3e88bf86-FTdisk.sys

Beginning dump of physical memory

Then this computer freezes up. I have changed out the
memory to two 128MB of SDRAM and this does not help.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I checked all of those Error message responses and none
match my situation. First of all I am working with a e-
Machine Desktop eTower Series model 500ix2. Reviewing what
Microsoft has in its knowledge base the problem could be
almost anything related to hardware. It could be the
memory (no), cable (no), hard drive (no), or motherboard
(not sure). Does anyone have any other suggestions? Do you
think formating the hard drive and reinstalling the OS and
other software will resolve the problem?

After trying everything replacing the memory, cable,
including formating the hard drive and reinstalling all
the software. The problem still existed until I replaced
the hard drive. The problem was a bad hard drive.
