Memory after Updating BIOS

Does updating (flashing) your BIOS eat up HD memory? It seems I had alot
more before, about 6-800mb.

Like the others said, no, but it is always a good idea after flashing the
BIOS to load BIOS defaults first and then do the final setup of parameters
just in case anything weird should happen.
