Memorized Fields

How do I change or delete information in field boxes that are memorized by
windows? As an example, I have entered several names in an information box.
Every time I click on the box, all the names pop up to be selected. I would
like to delete some of the names.

I am using windows XP.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,
I think that you're referring to Internet Explorer's Autocomplete feature.
You should be able to delete individual entries by selecting one (just put
the pointer on it) and hitting the Delete key.

To clear all of Autocomplete (or change settings) go to Internet Options>
Content> Autocomplete and look over the options.

More at:

Hope this helps,

Try selecting one and pressing the delete key. Otherwises post back
with more information about which specific boxes / applications you are
referring to.

Thanks Rock:
I tried selecting and pressing delete, but that did not remove the memorized
item from the bank. When I reselected the field all the same items
reappeared just as before doing the delete. I went to tools>options> clear
history and that got rid of all items. That is no problem, I don't have that
much to re-enter. I just thought there may be a way to elete only one item
on the dropdown list that pops up.

Thanks for you help. I did learn how to delete the history.
