Meeting requests arriving as emails

D

Don B.

Since January, all meeting requests I've received arrive as emails, all
starting as

"BEGIN:VCALENDAR
METHOD:REQUEST"...

Outlook is not recognizing the email as a meeting request. The meeting
organizer is sending from Outlook 2003 and I am using Outlook 2007. Again,
this configuration used to work just fine, but for some reason now it does
not. Is there a setting that may have been inadvertantly changed on my
computer or some patch I need to install?

Thank you,
Don B.

The problem could be with the sender's computer, either mail server, or your
antivirus scanner. The TNEF data that tells Outlooks it a meeting request is
getting deleted from the message. This could be anything from a setting on
the Exchange server to antivirus scanner corrupting it.

Until you can get sorted what may be interfering with the TNEF, save this test
to a text file, give the file a .vcf file type, then double-click the file to
open it in an Outlook calendar form. You can then save that to your calendar.
