All of the sudden,my players are not working.I have WMP10 and Real
Player.Whenever I try to use them to stream audio off the internet,they stay
in "connecting".Also,in WMP10,if I choose a song from the library,it won`t
play it.It would show "opening media" and freeze.The problem is intermitent.I
have checked and rechecked my anti virus software and firewall settings,not
that I have done anything to them,but checked them out just in case.I`ve had
the anti virus software configured to run a system scan every night for the
past 2 months,so I don`t think is due to a virus.I`ve also have scheduled the
file defragmenter to run every day.Spybot and Ad Aware are also run
regularly.I just can`t figure out what will all of the sudden mess up the
players.This is driving me nuts because I have not installed anything
recently that might be causing this.Just for grins,I have had uninstalled a
couple of programs and applications and re checked the players,yet,the
problem continues.As I`ve said,is intermitent,and this makes it all the more
frustrating to diagnose.Any help or suggestions are welcomed.My OS is WinXP
Pro edition,with the latest service packs.
