Media Player 11

I'm trying to find information / tools on how to deploy Windows Media Player
11 to our corporate enviroment. This will be deloyed to Windows XP SP2
clients.
There is a deployment tool on the WMP11 site but after it's install it
refers to WMP10 and 9.
Also is there a different download for corporate use?
Thanks.

Trust me, you want to stick with WMP 10.

Okay, why?
What issues have you seen?

I haven't seen any issues. I want to know what issues I am likely to see.
Someone has already said 'DRM'.

Yeah, Amazon will be selling DRMless MP3s too. Hopefully, MS will see the
writing on the wall but I doubt it.

I'm not so sure MS cares. I think like Apple they bowed to the pressure of
the recording companies. Once the companies decide they are losing out in
sales they will be begging MS to do the update to remove DRM. I hope this
is the case.

I'm not hoping; I'm using WMP10 ;-)

Uninstall it. Control Panel: Add or Remove Programs

Right, that removes WMP11. But how does the previous version magically
reinstall itself?

I don't know (I've never installed 11) but if it doesn't, search the
Microsoft.com site for Windows Media 10, download it and install it.
