Media player problem, help!

Media player seems to have stopped working. When I click on a media
player sound or video file, nothing happens. Also when browsing the
web, media files will not play.

I use a spyware removal utility called "Spybot Search & Destroy" which
may have affected the media player functionality. I've restored any
media player items that this program deleted but still no luck. I've
also reinstalled media player 9 but it's still not working.

if i was you i would delete the search and destroy program, i used it a few
weeks ago and it messed up my computer and i have still to get media player
to function properly
