media player pops up

when I turn on my computor and log onto windows
the media player automatically pops up
how can I turn that off as to where it dosen't pop up

Hi!Tom!
Have you checked your startup programs?
Check win.ini (Start > Run > "sysedit" without the quotes) for a load= or
run= line referring to media player, these lines are usually blank ended
otherwise:-

Run keys
Startup Folder

Maybe even a policy here:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\
WindowsMediaPlayer]
