Media Player - MP3

Hi, how can I use windows media player to rip my CD\s to
mp3, then copy them to my IPOD.
MP3 format doesnt seem to be supported, nor will WMP
recognize my ipod.

Right about both. To rip CD's in Mp3 you must purchase the MP3 encoding
pack.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/windowsxp/buypacks.aspx

And WMP will NOT support your iPod no matter what you do. That's why Apple
makes iTunes.
