media player error

I am trying to play an mpeg file and i keep getting a
message that the media player is searching for codec and
then it says classfactory error #80040111. Anybody any
ideas how to fix this. All other mpegs play ok.

athlon 2000xp 256ram 18months old NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
