media player error code 800700C1

Hi,
I have got a problem with my media player . It has worked
fine until last week when I got the error code 800700c1
now I cant open any files with it . Does anyone know how
to fix this problem? I dont want to reload windows 2000
again and have to reload all my programs and files. I am
currently running windows 2000 professional. I would
appreciate any help you could offer.

That's the error "That is not a valid Win32 application".

Which version of the player are you trying to run? If you run
"mplayer2.exe" directly on your system, does that work?
