Hello,
HOw could I kill M$'s media player?
don't do so, just stop using it. It is needed by several apps and
stuff, think of "Media Player Classic" as a skin or facade like
you maybe already know from IE with browsers like Maxthon, Green
Browser or alike, they all use the components installed by IE and
cannot run without IE working. And there are services that do not
work without the underlying app, "Windows Update" with IE, audio/
video codec handling and DRM with Media Player. And system sounds
as well.
If you still wanna remove, use "Software" from system settings,
remove every entry you find in programs list and then go to
"Windows components" (or what it is called in english UI) and
remove tick from "Windows Media Player" setting. I don't think
you can remove more than this without harming your system.
Regards,
Thorsten
