Media Player Can't eliiminate online store

Hope this is correct forum for this query, if not my apologies and please
direct me!

Seems since a couple of Media Player updates ago my player is inexorably
locked to an online store (Urge) which I have been UNABLE to eliminate. I
like my Media player (like the rest of my machine) nice and neutral and want
NO ASSOCIATION to ANY online store - until such time as I CHOOSE one.

So how can I get the Media Player to look like the Media player (i.e. nice
and bland and neutral) and eliminate Urge store, or any/all others?

click the Urge icon and then choose Media Guide instead. That's the same
"store" as was in wmp 10. and it's not a store, just MS's guide.

When you installed WMP 11 there was a checkbox for installing Urge too,
you should have unchecked it. Look in Add/Remove Programs, there should
be a stand-alone entry for Urge to remove it - don't choose to remove WMP
11, look for the store's entry. There may also be an MSN Music entry, it
seems to install that one too.

Regardless, you don't actually need to visit the store! But, unlike
iTune's "Parental Controls", you can't turn off the Store - that would be
nice MS.
