Media Player 9 - No Full Screen Playback?

I have a Dell P4, 2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM and a Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card. I
cannot get any ".mpg" or ".avi" files to play full-screen in Media Player 9.
When I try to select Full Screen, the screen goes black for a few seconds
and then back to a window mode.

Any ideas? Am I missing something simple?

Of course, I figured it out 2 minutes after I posted this. I simply had to
change the video acceleration option to "Full" in: Tools - Options -
Performance.
