how do i set it up to email? when i try to send i get pop up that said my
email is not responding. no help from web sight.

Windows Media Player is not an e-mail program.

Perhaps you are referring to the Player's media link feature? If so, open
Windows Media Player, press F1 and read the article entitled: To share a
clip with a friend.
