Media Centre Setup Errors

Whilst setting up a Sony Vaio with Media Center preinstalled I received a
series of errors most commonly relating to the registration of components
(unspecified in the error messge) resulting in an error code 3. On each
occasion it was possible to go back and repeat the step which obviated the
error. However finally whilst it appears that the Media Center product is
largely working (images, music and video sections all work) when attempting
to use the TV tuner it reports that the tuner is not installed although it
shows clearly in device manager.

Any help please - also is there not a Media Center Newsgroup?
