Media Centre and XP Pro Filesharing

I have a MediaCentre on XP Home with filesharing enabled on 2 partitions of
the 1TB harddrive (RAID5). I also have 2 other PC's and a laptop running XP
Pro. All 4 are in the same workgroup and can see each other through network
places. I can access the media Centre through My Network Places but once i
try and access one of the hard drives on the Media Centre a message saying
"cannot access \\MediaCentre\F:Music. You do not have the correct permissions
to access this file." appears. I thought the issue maybe the Windows Firewall
so i switched it off. This did not help. I have a suspicion that this is a
symptom of XP Home Networking limitations! I would appreciate any help or
advice on the matter.

Suggest making sure you have "simple file sharing" enabled in all XP
Pro systems. (That's all there is in Home version.)

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Files and Folders/Use
Simple File Sharing

Puzzled by "MediaCentre on XP Home" - I thought that MediaCentre was a
super set of XP Pro.

Thanks for the reply Dick but the reason i suggest that Media Centre is on XP
Home is that the File Sharing utility seems to be the basic one as per XP
Home as you suggested, not the more advanced "Pro" version.
