MechWarrior 4 Mercs Ports

Hi, I've been having trouble connecting to ZoneStats & the in-game ZoneMatch server.

After configuring my router & opening ports on the computer I've noticed that MW4 is listening to random ports in the 3000-3100 UDP range. Those are not the ports specified in the MS Technical docs

Does anyone know why this is happening & what can be done to correct this?

Have you opened those specific ports on your router and then used persistent
port forwarding to the specific IP of the machine where the game resides?

Yes. Even if I bypass the router & connect directly to the cable modem & turn off ICF, zonealarm etc. I still cannot connect to ZoneStats or Zonematch

Any ideas as to why it is using those ports when it's not supposed to be using those ports

I should note that I CAN connect to a server & play via IP
