Not sure if this got posted but here it is again!

All those that bought Windows ME raised there hands.

All those who tried to support Windows ME raise their hands (I had to).

All those that wanted their money back after buying Windows ME - raise
your hands.

Guess what? Vista is Windows ME 2. Just like XP was a step down from
Windows 2000 in terms of stability and malware attack so will Vista be a
step down from the next Windows (with hopefully) WinFS.

How many programmers understand the Vista kernel? Only a few virus
builders.

My 2 cents.

All those who post about Windows ME, spank yourself silly!

Maybe you should get Ubuntu !!!

BOY... what a post....

XP step down compared to 2000, no chance!, sorry cant agree with that.

Many programmers (and hardware manufactures) do know about the Kernal but
haven't bothered with it cos they thought Vista wouldn't take off OR that
Microsoft would back track on their standing of closing down the Kernel...
well they were wrong and as usual Microsoft is getting blamed for the
industry complacency.

What?? You must be joking! Or maybe you don't know what you're talking
about.

W2K was great for its day. XP was built on the W2K (NT) code base (indeed,
under the hood it still has an NT version number) and improved on it in a
number of ways.

Personally I thought the XP user interface was hideous, but that's been
fixed now in Vista. But in terms of stability and malware attack, XP is
better equipped than W2K.

XP's interface was Fisher-Price looking. Vista is OK, if one is into shiny
pretty things. My 10 cents is that I prefer the Win2k interface over all.
which is why I run XP and Vista in "Classic" mode whihc I think they made
look hideous in Vista

Congradulations.. you have the worst taste in the galaxy!

Im not talking about the colors, but the structure of the user interface.

If you like vista more, you need someone to slap you silly!

Personally I liked the DOS interface and Windows 3.11. Windows 95 was
hideous. Of course, I'm so used to Vista, XP does actually look pretty bad.
But, working on a Win95-Win2K system really shows their age.

Why have the latest and greatest and run it like it's a 10 year old OS? I
like the bells and whistles. Vista also has the ability to look different.
Check out Neowin forums and Wincustomize. Awesome stuff there to make Vista
even more "Fisher Price".

I don't want to buy a station wagon from the 80's, I want to buy a Ferrari.
Performance aside, the Ferrari just looks better.

Isn't it funny how people who don't have a leg to stand on in an argument
resort to insulting others? Reminds me of when I was a little kid and my
answer would be: "Yeah, same to you two times", or "Yeah, and so's your old
man". LOL LOL

Grow up. No one is putting a gun to your head forcing you to like or use
Vista. Don't like it? Go back to whatever you had previously and let us who
do like it try to help people who are having problems. Your childish drivel
here is annoying

Marty,

There are still teething problems, but in no way is Vista anything like you
say it is. The malware/virus writers will find Vista a much tougher cookie
and a wide deployment of Vista will substantially reduce the number of
machines that get compromised, even if the user seems to do her best to
compromise her own computer (such types will not figure how to turn off UAC
on their own). You should read a few issues of Technet or something and get
the scoop on what is going on with Vista.

On one computer here (newer AMD Athlon dual core at default settings) Vista
refuses to crash. As in refuses. The machine is up 24/7 week in and out and,
like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going.

However, the one I use most of the time, a four year old (at least)
computer, I've had a small few blue screens .. but that's over months and
then the electrical wiring here is 50 years old and I don't use a UPS and
the thing is slightly over-clocked and I have half a dozen peripherals
connected to it.

This from someone who's uses a Nic of Spanky deMonkey? You are indeed
pathetic, and included in the list of useless posters with nothing to offer
here, which assertion is so well demonstrated by the garbage you post.

Being called a Troll by you, now that's funny. Thanks for the laugh.

Lol, ah yes, the Inquirer as a reputable source. It's very clear that
most of these idiot trolls that post here such as the former captain
and
this guy, to name just two, have never had or original thought.
