Me to XP Pro...Explorer DIES

We have a Compaq Presario, originally loaded with ME.
I formatted the drive.
I installed XP Corporate version of XP Pro.

Internet explorer DIES every time we try to click a link.

I downloaded the latest IE install (6.1) on another machine, copied it
over, ran it from said machine.

No change.

Advice, please. The computer in question is a Compaq Presario 1 GHZ
Athalon.

Netscape works just fine, btw.

You can go out and purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP Pro and perform a
"repair install". Microsoft never released a "Corporate Version" of Windows XP.
