me mp3 player

i think i have disabled my mp3 on windows xp and it wont even let me charge
it on pc, it is like it is dead, please tell me what to do plz

What MP3? Brand, model and does it have an installation CD or is it
"plug&play"??? Reboot your PC and try again.
