MDAC 2.8 Error Message

While trying to install MDAC2.8 update I get the following
error: Error Creating Process.....Reason: INNT\System32
\advpack.dll

Can someone give me help on what I need to do to remedy
this??

What version of MDAC are you trying to upgrade from? I've found that if you
have a really old version (i.e. v2.51), then you need to upgrade to v2.71
first, and then to 2.8.

One way is the component checker, which has other uses, not least to check
the complete inst. and give err.reports
