Advpack.dll

i m getting an error msg concerning the advpack.dll. Can
any1 suggest how i can re-load a new or clean version of
tis dll file? Here is the snapshot of the error msg: While
attempting to install the service pack for Explorer 6 i
get the following error msg:

Error creating process
<C:\......\temp\ixp000.tmp\ie6wzd.exe/s:"c:\....\ie6setup.e
xe">. Reason: INNT\system32\advpack.dll


I would appreciate any help witt this matter (also at
startup for unknown reasons my system 32 files always just
open up)

Go to MS download site and get the latest Visual Basic 6 runtime file.
It will install 7 files, 1 of which is advpack.dll.

Thank you for ur help. I did want u suggested and
everything works out just fine.. Would u, however, know
why the system32 folder always opens (launches) whenever i
start Windows 2000? this is something new and its rather
annoying

Shouldn't have anything to do with the VB update since it doesn't
install any startup files. Check using MSCONFIG for startup programs.
