Look in your Temporary internet files here:
C:\Documents and settings\User\Application Data\Temp

or C:\Windows\Temp =
HTH.

Usually, there should be c:\windows\ehome with the MCE files. On normal
XP without MCE, there are only a few DLLs. With real MCE, there are a
lot more files, even the MCE shell is there.

If not, you used the wrong key in setup. You will have to reinstall with
MCE key.

The MCE shell is there but nothing is starting I get all kind of DLL errors.
I doubled check the key and it is the MCE key. it almost looks like the MCE
install is corrupt but I cannot find a way to reinstall just MCE. Any idea??
Thanks

Reinstalling only MCE is officially not possible. I mean officially,
because its even possible to install MCE on a normal XP pro, all the
needed files are there in SP2. Guides for doing this can be found at
many places. you can even mix pro, mce and tablet so that you get an
"Windows XP Ultimate" ;-). You know, no one really needs Vista.

Still, I recommend a clean reinstall of the OS, because I am sure it's
not only some MCE files that are missing.
