MCE 2005 Installation

I'm trying to install Windows MCE 2005 and when I put in CD 1, the install
starts. After awhile I'm asked for CD 2. A little while after this I'm asked
for the Windows XP Service Pack 2 CD. I put that CD in and after a few
seconds, I'm told that some files couldn't be found. The first file is
iexpore.ex_. I've checked the service pack 2 CD and that file does not exist
on the CD. I then put in the CD Windows XP with Service Pack 2 in and the
installation continues. A few seconds after this I'm told that another files
couldn't be found. Don't remember the name off hand. This continues with a
few other files as well.
What might the problem be?
The install is on a clean 10gb disk on an IBM thinkpad T23. I have on
another disk the first version of MCE 2002 with SP 1 and it runs fine. Just
interested in upgrading to MCE 2005 but want to install it first on a clean
disk.

Thank you very much Jason, Document explained exactly the problem I'm having.
Will try the install again. This might aslo be the problem I was having
when trying to upgrade my MCE 2002 SP1 to MCE 2005. Will give it another go
as well.
Again, many thanks.

Hi again,
I now did the install using only MCE 2005 CD1 & CD 2.
One question though:
When I click on "My Computer" and select "Properties", I noticed that it says:
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Is this correct? or is it yet another feeture of Microsoft?
I would have thought it would say version 2005 at least. What does it say for
MCE 2004?
Just curious.

This is correct;it is referring to the version of Windows XP Pro that Media
Center is based on.
