mcafee install errors

recently I renewed my mcafee services,that was about four months ago well,its
not working and the mcafee techs aren't helping either,it won't download the
viruscan,says not a valid image????I do have a new motherboard,thats the only
thing I can think of,don't know where to go on this,hate to uninstall to get
on line and all that b.s.can something be done,is there any hope.any
suggestions??mahalo for your time
 
i'm not a fan of mcafee
and their site likely has
faq's on downloading
their updates.

but from my end it
may sound that the
file you downloaded
onto your pc might have
to simply be renamed
with their official/valid
file extension....

I recommend against using McAfee or Norton. There are other free or paid
alternatives that work much better, such as Avast or AVG (free) or NOD32.
 
Aloha,
Get rid of McAfee and try to get a refund. Go to Grisoft.com and download
their free AVG for home use and get free updates. The best available for
free.
