MBR on wrong disk

Hi I have two hard drives on my PC (HDD-0 is Pri Master and HDD-1 is Pri Slave)
Windows XP Home installed on HDD-0, but for reasons that escape me know, I
THINK the MBR is on HDD-1. This means I can't boot Win XP without the HDD-1
being present. How do I
a) Tell for sure where the MBR is, and
b) if it is on HDD-1, get moved onto HDD-0?

Disconnect slave and repair the installation?

What does "repair the installation" mean? Does it mean going into the repair
console of the install CD? Assuming it does, once in there, what do I dio?
