Maximizing e-mails

My e-mails download in a minimized way so that I cannot scroll down them. I
must hit the maximize button first. How can I re-set the e-mail program
(Outlook Express) to download full-sized messages?

This group is for Windows Mail in Vista, but it is the same answer for OE.

Open a mail (only one), then grab the edges of the window and drag it using
the mouse, to the size you want, then close it with the X, subsequent
messages will open to the size you just closed it as.

Thanks, Steve. This doesn't seem to work. I cannot pull the e-mail up to
the very top of the screen. The scroll bar will only pull the message up so
far. Then I must still hit the maximize button. I can pull the message out
sideways, but that doesn't help the problem.

I think we may be talking at cross-purposes here?

When you first open OE, does that open full screen?
If not drag the edges of that to full screen.

Are you viewing your mail in the Preview Pane or double clicking each
message to open it?
View Menu>layout>Preview Pane.

I checked and I am not viewing my e-mail in the preview mode. OE did not
exactly open full screen (almost) so I pulled it up the rest of the way.
When I open an e-mail, the top is just below the word "inbox" and it will not
pull up any further. Help!!!!!

Try opening a mail with preview off, then right click on the mail message
button that is displayed in your bottom Taskbar, select move, now using your
Arrow keys try to move it higher?
Mouse click to release the window.

Don't maximize.

Move the mouse cursor to the blue Title bar to the top of the window.
Hold down the left button and drag it up.
Move the cursor to the lower right corner of the window so that it becomes a
diagonal double arrow.
Drag it down and to the right.
