Maximize new message window

Vista Ultimate - Windows Mail

When I start a new message, either by using Ctrl+N, or the Create Message
button, the new message window opens ALMOST maximized, but not quite. I have
tried dragging the top and sides to full size, but cannot do it. If I click
on the maximize square it is OK, but then the next time it isn't. Same
results whether I close the window using File/Close or click on the X.

Is there a way to make the new message open maximized?
TIA

Ensure that the mail window is in the restore down state, (a single square).
Resize it by dragging the edges, as you did, but then close it!
Next time it will open as you closed it.

mac,

Thanks for the reply. When I open the window, either by "create message" or
Ctrl+N, it is in the "restore down state" you mentioned. I try dragging the
edges, but there is so little room to drag them, I don't see much change.
The window never gets to the full max size with the two squares in the upper
right, unless I click the ''square".

Maybe this is a bugeroo in WinMail. Maybe I am really really dumd - let's go
with the bugeroo thing;-)
I shall continue to investigate.

Have you tried moving the initially opened smaller mail window up to the top
left corner of the screen, and then dragging the bottom right corner to full
screen?

I have tried moving the window every way I could and dragging every side as
far as I could. I never gets to the point where it is totally maximized with
the ''2 squares" in the upper right - UNLESS I click on the 1 square. But
the next time it opens - back to ''not maximized" - WinMail is more than an
email program - it is an adventure.:)

This is not a bug. It's the way WinMail was designed. The small amount of
extra room you can get by Maximizing it is negligable.
