On one of our machines we use a software program that is written for a
screen resolution 600x480. Now we replaced the monitor which has
800x600 resoltion at a minimum. The software starts and utilises app.
75% of the screen. Question is:

Is there a way to maximise the program or scale it up to fill the
complete screen? I tried some settings in compatibiltiesmode, but did
not work.

Is there a way?

Dirk.

Dirk,

The software creator should have utililised the Maximize in the application. If
the application has the Maximized grey out (disabled) then the chances are the
form is 'fixed single' & won't be able to be maximized

You can try to create a shortcut to the application (Right-click program | SEND
TO | DESKTOP (CREATE SHORTCUT). Right-click the shortcut | Properties & select
RUN MAXIMIZED, click APPLY, clikc OK

Thanks for your anser, but I tried this and did not work. The problem
here is that if you start the software there comes a dialogbox that
connects tot the machine controller, and the the controller software
starts. This software has not the windows dialog view. If I run
maximed as you suggest the first dialogbox is maximised, but the
controller application then turns back to its own resolution.

So I hope there are some other suggestions.

Dirk
