Screen not filling out on opening of new window

Thanks to Bill for previous answers to problem earlier.


New issue..not so urgent but would like help please.
Lately when I start computer and open say my e-mail or any program for that
matter it only opens in the middle and fills out just half the screen. I need
then to hit maximise and it will then fill screen. I know not a huge problem
but this is just recently and I always up to then had it open fully without
having to maximise.
Would appreciate advice.

Try this for Internet Explorer. It may apply to some other
applications.

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

Alan, Thank you. That seems to have done the trick!
Another question if you dont mind.....
I downloaded new version of Spybot Search and Destroy.... used it and then
uninstalled it. However this 'teatimer' icon did not leave and is on bar at
bottom of screen and seems active wnen I change screens. Why did it stay and
how do I now remove it??

I haven't used Spybot for some time and didn't ever use Teatimer but I
suspect you should have disabled it before uninstalling.
Read this and see if it helps:

If not, then disable it in Msconfig.
(Start-Run-MSCONFIG-Startup tab)
