Hi,
I recently purchased a new 17" widescreen HP notebook (nx9420) and have
noticed an annoying problem. There are certain applications (proprietary
business databases etc) that do not seem to maximise correctly. They
maximise with a 1/4" - 1/2" gap at the top of the screen. This is also
annoying because it appears that the bottom of app window is now below the
task bar, thus rendering some of the buttons in the app useless when
maximised. I know that there are tips relating to this problem when it is
Microsoft IE (registry editing), but they don't apply to these custom apps.
I would automatically think that it had something to do with these
particular applications, but I was previously running them on an Asus 17"
widescreen notebook without any problems.
If anyone has seen this before, or has any suggestions, i would really
appreciate it.
Cheers
Chris
