Is there a way to create a master/guide slide after a PowerPoint
presentation has been prepared?

Does pp have a "master" slide feature?

Every presentation has a template which includes a Master Slide. Go to View

Master > Master Slide. Any changes allowed there will affect all slides

in the current presentation that use that Master.

What Sonia said....but also...it's best to make the master slide before you make the presentation
