In my presentaions in PPT 2000 I use photos (jpg) and GIF
files and I end up placing them over a master slide. I
was wonder if there is way to insert into a blank slide
no graphics, color, etc that I could insert the photos
in? I've tried help and some books and I may be missing
where the instructions are?

Thanks .

There are twelve basic slide layouts you can choose from. Go to Format >
Slide Layout and you'll see the choices.

What Sonia said.

Then choose Format, Background and put a check next to "Omit background
graphics from master"

And possibly choose a different backgroujnd fill color if you like.

Then click Apply (NOT Apply To All unless you really do want to apply the
change to all the slides in your presentation)

I missed the part about "no graphics, color, etc". Thanks for the clean-up.
