regarding to my program posted on 17 July

I am trying to edit a table and add new fields to it in my
access database but I can't change it because it prompt me
that it 's a linked table?

Some told me that I should use the design master and do
not use the replication of the database but I don't
understand. Since my concept is just that the database is
the table.mdb file and all I need is to link my access
program to the table, I want to know what I should to in
order to be able to add new field??????!!!!!

A linked table is a link from one mdb file to a table that is stored in
another mdb file. You cannot add new fields in the mdb that contains the
link, you must open the mdb file that actually contains the table, and make
the changes there.

If you open the link in design view (click 'Yes' in the dialog box that
warns you that you can't make design changes) and then choose 'Properties'
from the View menu, the Description property will contain the path and name
of the mdb that contains the table.
