design master and replication of table????

regarding to my program posted on 17 July

I am trying to edit a table and add new fields to it in my
access database but I can't change it because it prompt me
that it 's a linked table?

Some told me that I should use the design master and do
not use the replication of the database but I don't
understand. Since my concept is just that the database is
the table.mdb file and all I need is to link my access
program to the table, I want to know what I should to in
order to be able to add new field??????!!!!

You can only make structural changes to a replicated database at the design
master.

I don't see your original message, but it sounds as though your database may
not be replicated, but just split. You are attempting to make design
changes in the frontend. You need to open the backend and modify the tables
there.

His original message was in .tabledesign on 7/17 and described the
replication indicator that you see attached to a table in the DB Window.

Perhaps this db was replicated at one point but is no longer, or the DM has
been lost.
