master and slave drive

I have XP running on 2 harddrives and want to know if
it's possible to create a boot facility to access either
one or the other. Also, can I run the slave without it
containing XP - ie. can I format the slave drive
completely and then set it up as an extension of the C:
drive or do they both have to have Windows loaded?
Any help on setting up slave drive or dual booting in XP
would be most helpful!

Why have xp on 2 drives, the two wont be working side by side if thats what your
hopeing for.You should delete one copy leaving C: as the master with xp,then go t
run,type:diskmgmt.msc L.click the slave,action,all,make active,close-out.Then R.clic
my computer,properties,advanced,virtual-memory,change button,set master to,let window
manage,click set 2X,do the same for slave,then close out.This doubles youre virtual-memory
then you can install programs to slave, set music files etc to slave. To format, boot to xp cd
recovery,press enter for password,type:FORMAT D: /FS:ntfs D: being slave.
