Marketing Campaign Delivery Status

J

Jeff

When sending an e-mail marketing campaign (using a Publsiher e-mail merge),
how do you get the campaign to update the delivery status and campaign
results?

Do you have to use the Microsoft E-mail Marketing Service to to get delivery
status and campaign results.

Outlook receives the e-mail failure notices, read receipts and replies from
the marketing campaign (Ican manually review each one), did MS set this up so
that you have to pay for an additional service to use the data on your
computer?

Thanks.

Well, those of us more into conspiracy theories could make that assumption,
Jeff...

Yes, the only way I know of to populate those results is to use the E-Mail
Marketing Service.

Lon

The real reason is technical, and is due to the fact that the links
the user clicks in your email campaign are summed up via the EMS
servers. Without those servers, there's no way to track who clicked
what.
