Why is Business Contact Manager adn e-mail marketing manager so sl

I am trying to send an "e-mail marketing campaign". I love the features of
Business Contact Mgr for my business operations but find that it's running
VERY slow. I am trying to set up an E-mail Marketing Campaign with a Word
merge message (although I would prefer to send the HTML page, but received
errors); but it is so PAINFULLY SLOW that after three days of trying to make
this work (after not being able to connect at all to the server) I am ready
to give up and go back to regular contacts and some other company's e-mail
system. Are there any suggestions in how to launch a campaign without
spending a week?
