I've never heard it called that, but it's not too hard.
Stephen Bullen has a variable width column chart on his website
(http://bmsltd.co.uk and look for FunChrt4.xls), which shows how to vary
the width of the columns. Use three series (or however many you need)
and make a 100% stacked column chart. For the lines, you can fiddle
with a dummy scatter series and either error bars or lines connecting
the points.
