I have some sort of glitch in Word where printing is cut off on the left hand
side of the page. Frequently I get an error message saying something like "
margins set outside the printable area..." If I try and fix it, it makes my
left margin 6.77.

If I stop, close everything, turn off computer and back on, it usually goes
away.

Try asking this in the topic-specific group

It sounds like a printer driver problem, but there may also be some system
conflict if it comes and goes like you describe.

I have a very similar problem, printer works fine on A4,A5 & labels, but on
compliment slips it insists on inserting a L/H margin of 6.62, and I can't
get rid of it.
I couldn't follow advice given below?
(Windows ME & HP 1010 printer)

I had the same problem with a message popping up that the margins were set
outside the printable area. When I read everyone's post about the their
problems and maybe it had something to do with my printer. Turns out that my
default printer was my Kodak picture printer and not my regular printer.
Therefore, check the default.
