margin problems

When I open word in page setup it is setup forlegal landscape with a bottom margin of 3.13 and I cannot change it without a pop up stating "Increasing right margin causes last column to become to narrow in some sections haveing unevenly spaced columns" any ideas?

Your best bet is to start from scratch; see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm. The error
you're getting is probably a result of a combination of mishaps, one of
which involved selecting columns from the Columns button instead of the
Format | Columns dialog.
