Mapi32.dll error when running Outlook 2000 after Installing Windows XP

HELP!!

I upgraded my OS from Windows 98 to Windows XP.
Everything appears to be running properly except Outlook.
I get the error message that Map132.dll is corrupt or the
wrong version. I followed the steps in article 318662,
but didn't have any compatibility modes checked, and
couldn't make a new user profile because I can't get into
Outlook. Thanks.

the article mentions to create a new User Profile (at the Windows level).
Did you try that and then try and run Outlook?
try that in full first and then, if the problem isn't fixed see if running
fixmapi.exe (search for it) helps.
