mapi32.dll corrupt

Hi,

Here's what I did. I had MS Office 2003 installed, and working. Outlook
worked.

I installed Office XP Pro over it. After installing, all apps work, and
outlook loads, but says it can't load default folders and then asks if I want
to open my file system in outlook. If I say YES, it opens and gives me
access like I am in My computer with an outlook shell. No outlook options
available of any kind. If I say no, outlook closes and does not load at all.

I've tried everything, too much to list. I am savvy. Now I get a message
when I boot up:

"Your SQL Server Installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with
(Could not open SQLEVN70.RLL) Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct
this problem"

Another message I've also gotten from outlook is: "Cannot start Microsoft
Office Outlook. MAPI32.dll is corrupt or the wrong version...."

It also keeps popping up "preparing to install..." everytime I click a
button in certain areas. What the HECK is going on??

You cannot load an earlier version over an existing version.
You have corrupted the installation
Was it your intention to stop using / Uninstall Office 2003 and go back to
OfficeXP or what?

you need to uninstall outlook 2003 and BCM then you need to run fixmapi.exe
(it should be on your hard drive), then outlook 2002 should work.

if you want to keep outlook 2003, uninstall Outlook 2002 (use a custom
install option) and then reinstall office 2003. If you need to reinstall
office 2002, use the custom option and don't include outlook.
